Organic Double Gauze--100% Cotton

I tried a new fabric over the summer called Double Gauze.  Gauze is a thin fabric with a fairly open weave which creates a beautiful drape but means that the fabric is too sheer.  Double gauze is exactly what it sounds like.  It is two layers of gauze put together and tacked together as it is woven in order to create single fabric which is incredibly soft and comfortable.  It keeps it's beautiful drape and remains airy but the double layer of fabric deals with the problem of it being too sheer.  As with many fabrics, some will still prefer to wear a slip or pantaloons underneath this fabric.  I'm wearing the yellow flight fabric in a skirt and don't feel that I need a slip with it.

We purchase our GOTS certified organic double gauze from both Monaluna and Birch fabrics.  The larger prints are fun and I hope you enjoy them.  This first set of prints are shown at 50-75 percent of actual size.  If you want to use two fabrics in one garment, like a layered skirt I would suggest using the chevron or pebble as your accent fabric.
